Advisers who earn either a Certified Journalism Educator (CJE) or Master Journalism
Educator (MJE) status through JEA solidify their journalism programs to their
administrators, parents, fellow teachers and students. While providing tangible evidence of the advisers’ qualifications, CJE
or MJE certification recognizes the dedication and commitment these advisers
have for scholastic journalism. Consult your VAJTA member director to contact CJE and MJE recipients to garner their input about your own pursuit of these endorsements.
