JCamp will be offered by VAJTA and Virginia Tech to provide an unbelievable opportunity for training students and advisors/teachers. Strands will be offered in beginning and advanced yearbook, broadcasting, advertising and business,
literary magazine, copy editing and coaching writers, photojournalism, newspaper design, news reporting, writing, editorial
leadership and advanced newspaper (this will be the High School Editor's Workshop that has been offered in past summers). There will also be
an advertiser's strand. Time will be built into the program for staffs to begin planning for the next school year.
Students may come alone if an adviser is unable to attend, but we see this as a wonderful opportunity for your staff to begin bonding and to get wonderful
ideas from around the state.
When you register, you can just register for spots and fill in the names later, so you don't have to know who's going when you register ... just that you will fill that number of slots.
